With bank affected by holidays on over a third of the days in October 2019, it is useful to know when then banks are closed, so you plan any necessary transactions in advance and withdraw cash early to avoid empty ATMs.
With Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra, Durga Puja and Diwali all falling in October this year, public and private sector banks will be affected on several days.
Note that several other days may be affected locally with state-level holidays extending the bank closures.
In addition, the banks will be closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays in the month as usual.
